Would you like to buy beef the old fashioned way straight from the farmer? Here at Koinania Valley Ranch we raise Hormone Free, Grass Fed, Antibiotic Free Angus/Cross Beef.  Our beef can be the healthy choice for your family's meals! When you are here enjoying your vacation you can watch the cattle grazing in the nearby fields.  Sometimes we offer samples of our beef to our guests.  Ask us when you are here. The steers are raised right here on our pasture.  We buy our calves locally from our neighbors.   We sell to our neighbors and to our friends and guests from St Louis and surrounding areas.  

Usually we raise and sell only five to seven (5-7) beefs per year. They receive no growth hormones or antibiotics, are rotated on different pastures throughout the year and have access to fresh spring water, lush pastures and hay in Winter.  Our goal is to satisfy you, our customers, by providing you with the highest quality beef possible.  We want you to be able to enjoy the satisfaction of a freezer full of the healthiest beef you can buy.

You may choose from Grass fed or Corn Fed. Grass fed can be available almost anytime but the Corn fed needs to be pre-ordered by August.  It is usually available for pick up November through March.  We feed corn and minerals plus a little bit of sweet feed for up to 3 months to fatten them up and give a marbling to the meat.  For some of our customers they feel this makes the beef more tender and tasty.  Corn Fed beef is better for fast cooking on a grill or in a fry pan where the Grass Fed does better prepared slow cooked. It has so little fat on it that you may even have to add water to it when browning the ground beef to prevent sticking.  

We sell our beef by the 1/2 or whole.  The current price is only $2.65 per pound on the hanging weight.  Our prices are subject to change with the changing costs of the steers. This quoted price is for the Grass fed beef. The Corn fed can sometimes be up to .20 higher per pound. We use a nearby processor who adds another .35 per pound for the processing and packaging. We offer delivery from here to St Louis.  Delivery fees apply.
