Koinania Lakeside Cabin

Located near the Ranch House, but nestled in the trees, this Missouri cabin rental, Koinania Cabin at Koinania Valley Ranch, was built in 2007 by Mennonites. The interior was finished off by Duane and student helpers. The cabin sleeps 4 and has a queen bed and futon.  There's room for 1 or 2 children on the floor. It's fully equipped with dishes, pots pans, microwave, coffee maker, crock pot, toaster, gas cook stove, ceiling fans, A/C and heat. The wrap-around deck overlooks the water’s edge with furniture, hammock, charcoal grill and private fire pit area.

We call it a lake others call it a pond.  It is 1 acre in size fed by a creek with water entering it and going out a pipe constantly.  It is clear and you can see the fish swimming around.  We have a paddle boat for our guests to rent to go out on the water for exercise or to fish from.  

There's a bench by the shoreline for fishing and sitting or relaxing.  Watch the turtles sun themselves, see fish swimming around, maybe spot a duck during migration, or see deer across the water at the salt lick.  Listen to the woodpeckers and watch hummingbirds at the feeders.  See blue birds, robins, cardinals, hawks and other birds and maybe even spot an eagle!
